You are cordially invited to a WonderMei fashion show fundraiser at 6:30pm on April 26, 2019 hosted at the Chinese Recreation Club (Hong Kong). To reserve your spot, please contact us at WonderMei and include your full name, number of guests, email address, and phone number.
We are celebrating in support of Ruby Yang, Academy Award-winning filmmaker of The Blood of Yingzhou District and head of the Hong Kong Documentary Initiative. Ruby will be presenting her vision for her sequel to My Voice, My Life - a 2014 documentary about disadvantaged youth - and introducing her good friend Chung To from the Chi Heng Foundation (CHF), an NGO registered in Hong Kong & China.
Founded in 1998 by former investment banker Chung To, CHF has helped over 26,000 students in China through various programs, such as education sponsorship and mental health & wellness support groups. While CHF focuses on supporting AIDS-impacted children, the organization also extends its services to students who have endured poverty, sickness in the family, or discrimination.
We are campaigning to raise money for both Ruby's film sequel and Chi Heng’s work in China. All proceeds will be shared equally between them.
Doors open at 6:30pm, and dinner begins at 7:30pm. It’s a sponsored event, but we will gratefully accept any donation. And you have our word -- Money back guarantee, if this is not the most fun fashion show you’ve ever seen!
You can contact us at WonderMei to reserve your spot. Please include your full name, number of guests, email address, and phone number to ensure you receive updates of any event changes. Our guest list is being updated daily. We’re also planning a raffle and online auctions, so please holler if you want to donate any prizes or auction items.
We look forward to seeing you there!
